Meridian East Chatham

 

 

Approved by the Cary Town Council, this $87.5 million mixed-use development will introduce 220 apartments, 8,200 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and a 348-space parking deck in downtown Cary. Construction is anticipated to begin soon.

 

 

Affordable Housing on SE Maynard Road

 

 

Cary has initiated its first mixed-income housing project on town-owned land at 921 SE Maynard Road. The development will offer 126 multi-family units, with 64 designated for low- and moderate-income households. 

 

 

South Hills Mall Redevelopment

 

 

Plans are underway to transform the South Hills Mall & Plaza into a mixed-use development featuring apartments, offices, and a new sports and recreation center. However, the project’s future is uncertain following the rejection of proposed bonds by Cary voters, which were intended to fund these initiatives.

Crawford Brothers Steakhouse

 

 

Renowned chef Scott Crawford has opened Crawford Brothers Steakhouse in the Fenton development. The restaurant offers a modern take on the classic steakhouse experience, emphasizing dry-aged beef and craft cocktails. 

 

 

Lloyd’s Full Service

 

 

A new restaurant, Lloyd’s Full Service, is set to open at 107 E. Chatham St. in downtown Cary, taking over a 1950s-era filling station. This venture is led by Early Bird Night Owl, a Durham-based hotel group known for The Durham and The Mayton hotels. The restaurant will feature an expanded patio and aims to contribute to Cary’s growing dining scene. 

 

 

Naos Hellenic Cuisine

 

 

Giorgios Bakatsias, a famed restaurateur, has unveiled Naos Hellenic Cuisine at 2800 Renaissance Park Place. The restaurant offers upscale Greek dining with dishes like clay pot-braised meats and traditional mezethes.
